Hoffenheim 2-3 Dortmund

Leverkusen 4-0 Union Berlin

Union Berlin, on the other hand, have now won only one of their first seven away games in a top-tier campaign. Meanwhile, Leverkusen comfortably secured the win, bouncing back from their unexpected loss to Elversberg, marking their third win in the last seven Bundesliga matches and preventing themselves from losing their first two games of a season for the first time since 2022/23.
Monchengladbach 3-4 Elversberg
Elversberg made an impressive comeback from being two goals behind to secure a 4-3 victory away against Borussia Mönchengladbach, marking the first time in their history that they started a season with three consecutive wins in all competitions. Additionally, Elversberg became only the sixth team promoted to the Bundesliga to win their first two matches.
Schalke 0-0 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich did not score for the first time in 60 competitive matches, as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen. Although Bayern extended their unbeaten away streak in the Bundesliga to 27 games, this result ended their record streak of leading the Bundesliga table, which had lasted 67 matchdays.
Hamburger SV 0-5 Mainz
Mainz extended their undefeated and unscored-upon streak this season with a commanding 5-0 victory against Hamburger SV. This marked their fourth consecutive clean sheet across all competitions and their seventh Bundesliga away game without a loss. Their fourth straight away win is a reason to celebrate, particularly since they have averaged 1.65 points per league match since Urs Fischer became coach in December 2025. Maintaining this form would very likely guarantee qualification for European competitions by the end of the season.
Frankfurt 1-4 Augsburg
Frankfurt lost their lead for the second consecutive game, this time suffering a heavy 4-1 comeback loss to Augsburg. With this victory, Augsburg moved to the top of the Bundesliga table, having won their first two matches for the first time in six years. Their strong opening-day win against Schalke, combined with this latest result, marks their best start to a Bundesliga season since they were promoted in 2011.
