Werder Bremen 0-2 Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund achieved their best points total in the Bundesliga since the 2018/19 season following a hard-earned 2-0 victory against Werder Bremen on the final day. This win brings Dortmund’s total to 73 points, marking a solid performance even though they finished significantly behind champions Bayern Munich. On the other hand, Bremen ended the season in 15th place and will be keen to improve their standing in the next season.

Union Berlin 4-0 Augsburg

Marie-Louise Eta concluded her historic tenure as interim Union Berlin manager with consecutive victories, as Die Eisernen dominated Augsburg 4-0, securing only their third-ever head-to-head win in the Bundesliga. Union Berlin finish the season in 11th place whiles Augsburg finish in 9th place.

St Pauli 1-3 Wolfsburg

Mixed emotions filled Millerntor-Stadion as Wolfsburg secured their spot in the promotion/relegation play-off with a tense 3-1 victory, while St. Pauli faced automatic relegation. The home team ended their two-season run in the Bundesliga, as Dieter Hecking’s squad was relegated to the second division following their loss to Paderborn in the relegation play-off.

Heidenheim 0-2 Mainz

Despite showing improved form late in the season, Heidenheim suffered their second defeat in six league matches (with a record of 3 wins and 1 draw), dropping back into the 2. Bundesliga after a 2-0 home loss to FSV Mainz on the final day. This marked their 20th league defeat of the season, leaving Heidenheim in 17th place in the standings, below VfL Wolfsburg. Meanwhile, Mainz secured their 10th league win of the season, finishing strongly in 10th place.

Freiburg 4-1 RB Leipzig

SC Freiburg secured a spot in European competition for next season by defeating RB Leipzig 4-1 on the final day of the Bundesliga season at the Europa-Park Stadion, earning Julian Schuster’s team a place in the UEFA Conference League. Meanwhile, Leipzig ended the league in third place and will participate in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Frankfurt 2-2 Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart will participate in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League season even though Eintracht Frankfurt managed a 2-2 draw on the last day of the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign. A late equalizer prevented Stuttgart from securing their seventh away league victory of the season, but Hoffenheim’s significant loss allowed the Reds to maintain fourth place. On the other hand, Frankfurt’s performance has been inconsistent since the start of the year, resulting in the Eagles finishing eighth and missing out on European competition.

Bayern Munich 5-1 FC Cologne

Bayern Munich broke the all-time record for the most goals scored in a single season in one of Europe’s top five leagues by defeating Cologne 5-1. The Bavarians remain unbeaten in their last 23 head-to-head matches and finished the season with a total of 122 goals. Cologne had already secured their safety before this match, so the heavy loss had little impact on them.

Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Hamburger SV

Bayer Leverkusen came from behind to finish their Bundesliga season with a 1-1 draw at home against Hamburg, maintaining their unbeaten streak in head-to-head matches to four games (3 wins, 1 draw). Kasper Hjulmand’s team had to settle for a spot in the UEFA Europa League, while Hamburg secured a 13th-place finish, marking a solid return to the German top division.

Monchengladbach 4-0 Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League (UCL) after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach at Borussia-Park, which also ended their five-match unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga (3 wins, 2 draws). Meanwhile, Gladbach extended their unbeaten home league streak to seven games (4 wins, 3 draws), securing a comfortable mid-table position. Hoffenheim will have to settle for a UEFA Europa League (UEL) spot, but their fifth-place finish is their best since the 2017/18 season.
