Monaco vs PSG Review
Monaco delivered an impressive performance to secure a 1-0 victory over the defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, breaking a three-game losing streak in Ligue 1. The home team took control early on, as Mohammed Salisu had a volley saved by Lucas Chevalier. Luis Enrique’s squad soon took command of the game, controlling possession and creating opportunities. Vitinha nearly opened the scoring with a low shot from the edge of the box, but Lukas Hradecky made the save. Monaco remained a constant threat on the counterattack, with Chevalier continuing to make key saves, denying Takumi Minamino a goal. Although Salisu did find the net, his goal was disallowed for offside.

After the restart, the home team continued their momentum as Vanderson took a shot at goal. The Parisian side struggled to assert themselves in the match, allowing Monaco to capitalize and score in the 68th minute. Aleksandr Golovin’s cross into the penalty area was expertly controlled by Minamino, who took a touch before calmly finishing past Chevalier for his second goal in as many games. With the lead, Monaco seemed on course for their first head-to-head win in six encounters, but their challenge became much tougher with 10 minutes remaining when Thilo Kehrer received a straight red card for denying a clear goal-scoring chance by fouling Ibrahim Mbaye.

Despite having a numerical advantage in the final 10 minutes, Enrique’s team couldn’t make it count, ending their streak of three consecutive league wins. The victory moves Monaco into the European qualification spots and just one point behind the top four, while PSG could drop to second place in the standings if Lens win their match against Angers.
