OGC Nice 1-1 Strasbourg

Nice came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Strasbourg at the Allianz Riviera, ending a streak of six consecutive Ligue 1 defeats for Les Aiglons. Strasbourg missed the chance to move into the top six, staying in seventh place, six points behind Rennes.

Lille 0-2 Rennes

Rennes secured a hard-earned 2-0 win against LOSC Lille, who were down to 10 men, boosting their spot in the top six of Ligue 1 and halting the hosts’ four-game winning streak in the league. For Bruno Génésio’s team, it’s back to the drawing board after suffering their fifth Ligue 1 loss of the season, ending a streak of five consecutive home victories across all competitions.

Marseille 0-2 Nantes

Nantes caused an upset by defeating Marseille 2-0 in Ligue 1 to start 2026, as Marseille, reduced to nine players, collapsed on their own. This win ended Nantes’ seven-game winless streak in the league and marked their first victory over Marseille since 2020. The impressive win brought Nantes just 2 points away from 15th place.

Lorient 1-1 Metz

Metz ended a four-game losing streak by securing a hard-fought 1-1 draw on the road against Lorient, but Stéphane Le Mignan’s team was unable to maintain a lead that would have lifted them off the bottom of Ligue 1. The draw allowed Lorient to extend their unbeaten streak to seven matches across all competitions, moving five points clear of the relegation zone, while Metz stayed at the bottom of the table, tied on points with Auxerre.

Le Havre 2-1 Angers

Le Havre scored late to secure a 2-1 victory over Angers SCO, ending a six-game winless streak in Ligue 1. The match featured two young players each scoring their first goals for the club. With this win, Le Havre moved six points ahead of Metz, who are in 18th place, providing some relief from the relegation zone. This victory was crucial as they face a challenging upcoming schedule that includes matches against three of the top seven teams.

Brest 2-0 Auxerre

Brest secured their third consecutive home win in Ligue 1 by beating Auxerre 2-0, leaving the relegation-threatened Diplomates with only three victories halfway through the season.

PSG 2-1 Paris FC

Paris FC’s 30-metre journey to the Parc des Princes resulted in a 2-1 loss, with Paris Saint-Germain securing the win in the first Paris derby since 1978, maintaining their unbeaten home record in Ligue 1 this season. Meanwhile, Paris FC’s winless streak in the league stretched to six matches. However, Paris FC won’t have to wait another 48 years for a rematch, as the two teams will face each other again in the Coupe de France in just eight days.
