Danny Ings Is A Transfer Target For Several Premier League Clubs

As the January transfer market gets underway, Everton is one of the Premier League teams expressing interest in Danny Ings, a forward for Aston Villa, according to a recent report by 90min.

Danny Ings signed with Villa in 2021 for £25 million, but he hasn’t been able to make the same type of impression as he had at his previous club Southampton, when he scored 22 Premier League goals in 2019–20. He has scored the same number of league goals (12) in his first 18 months with Villa as he did in his last campaign with the Saints.

The 30-year-old, who previously rose to prominence at Burnley and endured a lengthy injury absence at Liverpool, has started only one of the five Premier League contests under new manager Unai Emery since his appointment at the beginning of November.

Ings did manage to score twice in his lone start against Brighton, a crucial 2-1 victory, but since then, he has had to settle with cameos against Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham.

Everton has had trouble scoring this season, managing only 14 goals in 18 league games. However, the Toffees are not the only team considering a move for Danny Ings.

Both Southampton and Bournemouth are keeping an eye on things. All three of these teams, which are in the bottom six of the Premier League, are in serious need of offensive firepower.

90min reported that Unai Emery is looking to reinforce is squad with at least one attacker during the winter transfer window. It is also reported that Villa will only be interested in the permanent sale of Ings rather than a loan.
