Bournemouth vs Manchester City Review
Bournemouth kept their remarkable hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive after a 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium. Later, David Brooks had a chance to improve the score, but his shot also hit the woodwork in the final moments. Credit must be given to Guardiola’s team, who had the last word by equalizing at the very end when Haaland’s angled shot deflected off the post. However, they couldn’t secure a winning goal, and the celebrations began at the Emirates.
City’s point is overshadowed by the bigger picture of a title race they have now lost, bringing to a close a season of mixed results for a team that won both domestic cup competitions but missed out on the two biggest trophies. Meanwhile, the Cherries can look back on a season of remarkable progress.
