Asking price for Arsenal’s target could force them to break the bank

According to rumours, Napoli wants up to €100 million for Victor Osimhen, thus Arsenal may have to spend considerably more than they expected this summer. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Victor Osimhen is valued at €100 million this summer. Napoli will let him go only if their valuation for the striker is met.

Arsenal, according to the same source, is leading the race, however they must first determine whether or not they will compete in the Champions League next season.

Arsenal have taken numerous tangible moves towards signing Osimhen through intermediaries, according to Gazzetta. However, the cost might be an issue.

According to CBS Sports’ James Benge, Napoli wants at least €80 million (£67.4 million) to contemplate selling Osimhen this summer. The Italian press appears to believe the amount is significantly higher.

Osimhen is one of the strikers Arsenal has been watching in recent months, according to Benge. Even at €80 million, the 23-year-old would be one of, if not the most expensive, possibilities on that summer shortlist. It’s difficult to imagine anyone else coming close to €100 million.

Victor Osimhen

Napoli spent roughly €80 million for Osimhen in the first place, so it’s understandable that they’re looking to regain that amount or more. Osimhen is enjoying a strong season, with 17 goals and six assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
