Ancelotti Issues Karim Benzema Warning Following His Brace Against Valladolid

Karim Benzema scored twice as Real Madrid defeated Real Valladolid 2-0 on Friday and Carlo Ancelotti has issued a warning about the Frenchman becoming even better in 2023.

Due to a quad injury he acquired the day before the competition, Karim Benzema was unable to participate in the 2022 World Cup, where France came in second. Since then, he has made his international retirement known.

The 35-year-old attacker bounced back in Madrid’s first match following LaLiga’s restart, scoring a penalty in the 83rd minute and adding to his total six minutes later.

“I see Benzema very motivated, and I think you will see a different Benzema from now on in 2023,” Ancelotti told DAZN.

Benzema has contributed to more goals in all competitions in the year 2022 than any other La Liga player.

Benzema scored 44 goals in 46 games for Los Blancos the previous season, but this time around his season has been hampered by injuries. He has scored eight goals in 13 games.
