Brighton Has Rejected Arsenal’s Second Bid For Caicedo

90min claims that Brighton & Hove Albion have turned down a second offer from Arsenal for Moises Caicedo.

Late last week, Arsenal, like Chelesa, had their initial bid for the Ecuadorian midfielder rejected; as a result, Caicedo announced his intention to quit the team this month.

Caicedo was given time off by Brighton in response to their refusal to sell their star midfielder during the transfer window.

Arsenal, though, has responded with a bid of £65 million plus $5 million in add-ons, but Brighton has already responded with a resounding “no.”

Caicedo’s price has not been set by Brighton, who are certain that they will not be pressured into selling him.

After defeating Liverpool at the weekend, Brighton is now sixth in the Premier League standings and has advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

The Seagulls are adamant that they are on track to have a historic season, and they won’t put that in jeopardy by letting one of their key players depart.

It is uncertain whether Arsenal will make another offer. Chelsea, who remains intrigued, has since returned to Enzo Fernandez, the midfielder they were originally after in January.
