Reports claim that Leicester City expects Arsenal to make a bid for Youri Tielemans before transfer deadline

According to The Guardian, Leicester City anticipates that Arsenal will make a summer transfer for Youri Tielemans. The Daily Mail reports that although the Gunners have been repeatedly rumored to be interested in Tielemans, who is reportedly worth approximately £25 million, they have not yet made a formal offer.

According to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, Leicester anticipate an offer for Tielemans, and despite Arsenal’s absence of a counteroffer, a transfer is still “very possible.” According to Jacobs, Leicester wants closer to £30 million. Youri Tielemans obviously wants the ambiguity around his future to be cleared out, says Jacobs. He has been watching for the bids to come in for a while now.

Arsenal has not yet made a bid for Youri Tielemans, according to a recent TalkSPORT story, in part because of reservations about his aggressiveness.

Given that Tielemans is now in the final year of his deal, Romano still anticipates him to depart before the end of the summer transfer season. The Telegraph recently reported that Mikel Arteta was a fan and pushing a move for the midfielder, and The Athletic said that Arsenal had respect for Tielemans as a player.
