Espanyol 1-3 Elche
Fer Niño scored twice in the first half to help Elche shock RCD Espanyol 3-1, securing their first LaLiga victory of the season. Sevilla 1-3 Barcelona
Raphinha became the first Barcelona player in 11 years to score a perfect LaLiga hat-trick, as the Brazilian, assisted twice by Lamine Yamal, led the team to a comeback 3-1 victory over Sevilla at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. As for Sevilla, there is some consolation in knowing they will enter the upcoming international break in fifth place, following a draw in Bilbao.
Getafe 1-0 Malaga
Málaga’s quest for their first LaLiga victory since rejoining the top division goes on, as a late goal from Iván Azón resulted in a 1-0 loss to Getafe, who have now gone seven games unbeaten at Estadio Coliseum in all competitions.
Atletico Madrid 2-1 Real Madrid
Dean Huijsen’s red card in the second half was a crucial moment, as Atlético Madrid secured derby bragging rights with a valuable 2-1 win against their city rivals Real Madrid at a lively Metropolitano. This result extended Atlético’s unbeaten streak in four consecutive home LaLiga matches against Real Madrid (three wins, one draw). With this victory, Atlético moved up to second place in the standings, while Los Blancos dropped to fourth following their second loss of the season.
Villarreal 3-1 Levante
Villarreal earned only their second win of the season by defeating Levante 3-1 at Estadio de la Cerámica, continuing their strong head-to-head record with eight wins in the last 11 encounters between the teams. This marks Villarreal’s first home win since May and lifts them into the top half of the table before the international break. Real Betis will enter the first international break of the 2026/27 season in third place in LaLiga, after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Deportivo A Coruña at the Riazor Stadium. Meanwhile, Deportivo has now gone eight consecutive games without keeping a clean sheet. Betis missed the chance to achieve five consecutive competitive wins for the first time since November 2023.
Valencia 2-3 Sociedad
Valencia will enter the international break positioned in the LaLiga relegation zone following a 3-2 loss to Real Sociedad at Mestalla. Ander Barrenetxea’s goal in the 91st minute resulted in Los Che suffering their fifth defeat in seven matches this season.
