Spaletti believes that Napoli will benefit greatly from the World Cup break

Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Napoli, offered his opinion on the abrupt break to the season due to the World Cup while preparing for the second half of the campaign.

Napoli were now in fantastic form before the World Cup break, finishing the first set of 15 games unbeaten and eight points ahead of Milan in second position.

Many contend, though, that Spalletti’s team will suffer because of the quick break in the season brought by the World Cup, saying it would be hard for the group to rediscover the momentum they once had.

In an interview with TuttoNapoli, the Tuscan tactician shared his perspective on the present situation at his training camp:

“At times like these, teams like ours have the opportunity to work in more detail. You can’t go fast all the time. The break will offer the opportunity to work on the details. We are very happy with the form we have achieved . It will be a great advantage for a team like ours to be able to work and maintain our performance in this period. We started the season very well.

It was an advantage to have made the right moves in the transfer market, taking on young and talented players. We have a lot of quality, but we also have aspects that we need to improve. When we put our quality first, other points we need to improve are overshadowed. So I congratulate my players on a great start. We will do our best to continue like this.”
