Kylian Mbappe Breaks Silence On Emi Martinez’s Mocking Celebrations

Following Argentina’s triumph in the World Cup final earlier this month, Kylian Mbappe of France has responded to Emiliano Martinez’s persistent badgering.

Kylian Mbappe has acknowledged he will never fully recover from the sadness of the Qatar World Cup and he has no desire to engage in any form of conflict with Emiliano Martinez of Argentina.

Martinez has been unrelenting in his teasing and goading of Mbappe since Argentina’s triumph earlier this month, despite the fact that the Frenchman actually managed to get four past the Albiceleste shot-stopper on the day if his penalty in the shootout is taken into account.

Kylian Mbappe may have won the tournament’s Golden Boot with eight goals, but he has faced more criticism from Argentina players than any other member of the Les Bleus, with Martinez in particular seeming to dislike the 24-year-old.

The goalkeeper for Aston Villa was seen on camera mockingly asking for a moment of silence for Mbappe and then holding a doll with the forward’s face taped on the front during an open-top bus procession in Argentina, all while awkwardly positioned next to Messi, Mbappe’s teammate at Paris Saint-Germain.

Kylian Mbappe was asked for a comment on Martinez’s conduct and replied: “They are not my problem. I don’t have the energy to waste on such futile things.

“I’ll never digest it. But like I told my coach and teammates, there’s no reason that my club should pay for a defeat with my national team, it’s two different situations.

“The message was simple – it was to show that, whatever goes on with the national team, PSG is a separate thing and I’m still determined to bring every trophy to the capital.”
