Jesse Lingard to leave Man United this summer

Jesse Lingard is set to leave Manchester United this summer after being dissatisfied with his treatment by the club.

Jesse Lingard’s contract with Manchester United expires in June, and Newcastle, AC Milan, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain have all indicated interest in signing him. According to reports, new United manager Erik Ten Hag is eager to meet with England star Jesse Lingard about his future. Lingard has attracted a lot of attention in the last two transfer windows.

United, on the other hand, would not allow Lingard to join a top-four opponent, and both previous manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his interim successor Ralf Rangnick assured the striker that he would get a chance to prove himself in the first team.

Lingard, on the other hand, has only started two Premier League games this season and was disappointed on Monday when Rangnick did not bring him off the bench during United’s 3-0 win over Brentford, which would have been his final appearance at Old Trafford for a player who has been with the club since he was seven years old.

Lingard’s brother expressed his displeasure on social media, claiming that the midfielder had received “never even a goodbye” after “20 years of effort, sweat, and tears, four domestic titles, and three cup final goals.”

Lingard believes he has to revive his 32-cap England career after appearing in World Cup qualifying matches in September and October 2021. On the back of some outstanding performances on loan at West Ham, he came close to being selected for Euro 2020.

Lingard is thought to be in advanced talks with two of the teams interested in signing him.
Newcastle attempted to sign Lingard in January, but the player was hesitant to commit to a team that was battling relegation at the time.
