Ibrahimovic Steps Up His Training As He Eyes A Return To Action For Milan

After recording a video himself with the ball at his feet at the club’s Milanello training facility, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is stepping up his Milan return.

The 41-year-old signed a one-year deal in July of last year but has been out since then due to knee surgery.

In his second stint with the Rossoneri, Ibrahimovic has scored 33 goals in 60 league games and won the Serie A last season.

His career is certainly nearing its conclusion given his age. Despite what the former Manchester United and Barcelona player claimed in September: “If I see a player stronger than me, I’ll stop. But I haven’t seen him yet.”

In the footage, Ibrahimovic can be seen moving slowly while carrying the ball before hesitating at the outside of the penalty area and pointing the camera toward the goal. He is then seen grinning at the camera and lifting his eyebrows, seemingly indicating that he is anxious to resume scoring.

Milan will play Tottenham in the Champions League last-16 on February 14 and March 8, in addition to a Serie A derby against Inter on February 5. Milan are currently 12 points behind league leaders Napoli.
