Milan Skriniar to remain at Inter this season

The determination of Inter to cling onto Milan Skriniar in the face of interest from Paris Saint-Germain was lauded by Inter head coach, Simone Inzaghi.

Milan Skriniar has played for Inter for the last five seasons, but the French champions PSG have lately made him a top target as they attempt to add players before the transfer window ends.

Skriniar was viewed by the Parisians as a player who would strengthen their team for the Champions League since they have high hopes for developing a group that is capable of winning the tournament. Milan Skriniar will continue with Inter, according to reports in the Italian media citing Inter chairman Steven Zhang.

Inzaghi, Inter’s head coach, praised such a resolute approach: “It is certainly nice,” Inzaghi told Sky Italia when asked about the sudden clarity surrounding Skriniar. “We know that it is not easy for the coaches to play with the open market.”

Skriniar helped Inter win the Coppa Italia and the Serie A championships in last two seasons after moving from Sampdoria to Inter in July 2017. Skriniar, who apparently received proposals from PSG in the range of €50 million, is anticipated to sign a new deal soon with Inter.
